Tips for your home workout

Social distancing, self-quarantine and closed gyms are making it difficult to stay active. We would like to give you a few suggestions as to why this is important right now and how you can make your workout nice at home.

Many of our daily routines are currently restricted, so it is sometimes difficult to find motivation. And sport is more fun together, whether in a club, in the gym or while running.

Prioritize your workout

Procrastination, constant shifting is also the danger of training. If we don't have someone to train with at a fixed time, we quickly find a reason to do something else. Remember that working out is good for you, so make sure you set a schedule and stick to it.

Create a training plan

Instead of just doing something or getting fitter, make a specific plan. For example, a workout for a specific part of the body every other day or work specifically to improve mobility.

Try something new

Have you always wanted to do targeted mobility training or HIT (High Intensity Training)? Watch a free video or try one of the numerous fitness apps. Most apps have a free trial period. You might find something new that excites you.

Set goals

If you set yourself firm goals, you avoid boredom during your workout. The training effect will help you get in better shape and have more fun training. Be realistic and set goals that you can achieve. This keeps you motivated.

Ensure a pleasant atmosphere

Listen to an interesting podcast while exercising or play your favorite playlist. Exercise mindfulness and take breaks. Also pay attention to your breathing.

Talk to friends about it

Share and inspire your friends. Maybe you can achieve a common fitness goal? If others join in, you can push each other.

Get out into the fresh air

Even if you now regularly do home workouts, go outside as often as possible, go for a walk, jog or bike ride. Right now, sunlight and fresh air are important for our immune system.

reward yourself

Admittedly, we are sometimes frustrated at the moment because we cannot practice our sport as usual. With a well-planned home workout, however, we can find exercises that not only keep us fit, but are also fun. Make a post-workout smoothie or call a friend or family member. It can also be a small sin, that is not only motivating, you also deserve it.
